Prayer Walk

In August a few days before the beginning of school.  I started seeing plans on Facebook for a prayer walk that was to be held in a local community. I thought what a terrific
idea.  I wish someone would do that for our Garner School.
Then one day it hit me that I was that someone.  So I began planning and spoke to the principal of my children's school and got his approval.

The walk was great.  I had a pastor from one local church do the opening prayer. Then we walked from the fire station, down to the school.

We had parents, grand parents,  teachers, students the principal and school board members in attendance.

It was a hot August evening but it was a wonderful experience to be able to walk the school grounds praying for our students.
The highlight of the evening was the fact that the principal opened the school building and let us walk  down the hall praying in the school!

Then we walked out onto the play ground and ended with another prayer.
I used my contacts at the bank and got a couple cases of water donated by Comanche National Bank.
Our first annual Garner prayer walk was a great success.
